Woolloomooloo Wharf (Image source: www.rent-a-home.com.au/

Are you always going to the same spot each time for your fishing trip? Why not have a change and have a look at these spectacular spots down below. They are perfect for any type of fishermen whether experienced or not. They are also places which you can fish without a boat. Sydney has the most exclusive angling destinations.

Woolloomooloo Wharf

At the end of the Woolloomooloo wharf past the delicious resturants it is one of the best places to catch fish. Under the wharf the fish swim as it is shelter and a good source of food. Yellowtail is commonly found and there are heaps of monster bream, good sized groper and sometimes you might find the hard fighting kingfish. Around that area you might also want to drop by the local pubs or resturants for a bite to eat and something to drink before you drop the line.

Clifton Gardens

Clifton Gardens (close to Mosman) is the most popular land-based fishing spot in Sydney. You can fish from the jetty and particularly on summer nights there are heaps of fish to catch. There are fish from Flathead to Kingfish and small Jewfish. Some of the other common ones are Bream, Leatherjacket and Trevally. There is also a bathing area right to the jetty.

McKell Park, Darling Point

McKell Park, Darling Point has the one most exlcusive real estate and it can be first class fishing too. Fishing from the wharf is excellent. You can catch squid or yellowtail which are some of the most common and they make great bait whether dead or alive. Some other of the common fish are bream, flathead and sometimes snapper. So if you feel like fishing here bring along a chair or rug and have a picnic while fishing.

Bradley's Head, Mosman

Bradley's Head, Mosman is a excellent place for fishing with an excellent view while you fish. As you watch the yachts and ferries pass by, you can fish for trevally, salman and flathead which are the most common around this area. After you fish you can also have a swim in the bay.

Blues Point, McMahons Point

Blues Point is to the west of the Harbour Bridge and is the perfect fishing spot. It is close to heaps of fish traffic with deep water close to the shore. Jewfish and Kingfish are the most common around this area and that is why many people come day and night. But when you are fishing you have to make sure your bait is up to scratch around here because they won't take prawns or any fish. Live yellowtail and squid are the best.

Others Places

Good fishing spots can also be found on some of Sydney's best-known beaches. From Malabar to Bondi, stretch about 13km, you can learn the art of beach fishing and to battle a few brutes, too. Common catches along Sydney' eastern beaches include salmon, jewfish, tailor and whiting. There are also plenty of rock-fishing options, particularly south of Maroubra. Rockies should fish on days with little swell.
